Hello family and friends

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas with those whom you loved, this week was very interesting and somehow long, on Monday my companion and I had a lunch appointment with a member and it really help us with the busy week ahead of us, we went window-shopping for 40 minutes to the mall next to our apartments and by the end of the 40 minutes we had talked to 3 members and I was assigned a talk. We had some sisters over for dinner and by then our pday was gone.
somehow there is this trend in our ward that members are literally booking us for dinner hahahah we had become popular I guess
we had some lesson as well a lot of visits with members and some service, I won’t deny a lot of members had a lot of little gifts for us, and I have got to know them so much more. Plus we also had the live nativity which was really well attended and as usual I got to see some of those whom I have associated in previous areas
we had district meeting on Christmas Eve, and we had to be home by 8 instead of 9 pm. I also got my results from my ACT test and let’s say I did better than I thought but not as good as I need for school so that wasn’t the best set of news but in the Brightside I finish the Book of Mormon for the first in English, and I can’t wait to start again, now my plan is starting to reading it a bit more slower and be able to actually highlight all my markings from what I read.

Christmas day was so hard I was so homesick, all I wanted was to see my little siblings and a hug from my mom and dad but I know that I am exactly where my heavenly father wants me to be. My day started bright and early with breakfast at one of my favorites families, We spend it with the Choo’s and their adorable kids. After that we stop by another member drop off some Christmas cards and head out to bishops and we skype our families and I was shock to see my family, we visited more members and had dinner with Sister Bird who is just like another mom in the mission.
I felt much better after talking to my parents.
this week also had I few highlights I finished my personal progress and I was able to donate blood again, I found my iron is the highest it has ever been and lucky me the nurse that was helping me was from Venezuela, so for the 6 minutes I was donating we just chatted away. I love my nametag since is Spanish with a German last name it raises a lot of questions hahahah

I went on exchanges with one the sisters I came out from the MTC and my talk went really well, I had to speak on personal goals from presidents talk “ponder the path of thy feet” and I learned 2 things “decision determine our destiny” and that its more important to emulate Jesus Christ by walking as he walked rather than where he walked”

this is been a very eventful week for us and we been able to meet so great people and I’m so thankful for the blessing that this year has been to me, all the growth and I couldn’t thinking of a better way to spend 365 days. I know prepare myself for the next year and with it the things I want to accomplish while on my mission and also after the mission, I’m so lucky my mission president is great and he has been a great help.

I hope you all doing well as well as your families, I guess this year is now done and I only got under 4 months on my mission but I’m excited for when I get home I sure have learn a lot of things of how to be a member of the church and how magnify my callings.

I wish a happy new year and remember to smile, to give thanks to our heavenly father and seek for his will.

With all my love from rainy Nova Scotia
