Hello everyone
I had quite an eventful week, the weather here is a bitter crazy perhaps not what I'm used to, lets start with the fact that is super windy, the snow doesn't stick and it rains A LOT.
on Monday we had visits from the trainer sister leader and we we went knocking for hours under the pouring rain, that was interesting I must admit.
as usual my studies continue to stretch one more that my companion is learning Spanish!!! YES we soon will be teaching the lessons in Spanish!!! yaaay
we still volunteer at the blood clinic and is very exciting, we meet a lot of interesting/new people, also bible study had help me with my own studies cool eh
this week we had a Relief Society activity and it sure help to get to know many of the sisters in the ward, and most important Meaghan our investigator is fully emerged into the ward and she is participating in everything.
I forgot to mention on my passed emails, I been struggling a little bit due some health issues I been under antibiotics and recently this week I got a puffer to help with cough, so keep me in your prayers so I dont have to go back for a X-ray.
Thursday was Taylor's Baptism, what a blessing the Lemaoine family have been in my time in Halifax, Nikki was baptized on oct 12 and now her daughter was joining her, it was AMAZING, the support and love of the ward made Taylor's welcoming unique. we also been volunteering at old folks homes and this weeks truly toughed my heart, we sang over the rainbow and many of them had tears in theirs eyes.
Now Thursday we had an investigator come to the baptism ( I say we because is a join effort between the elders and us), Sister Mejia is from El Salvador and we been teaching her my whole time in Halifax and I been able to connect really well with her do to our backgrounds and the fact that I'm a convert to the church. on Thursday she was very overwhelmed at the baptism and I share with her my conversation story (I know she couldn't believe it either) and I closed with telling her that "it doesn't matter what we teach her, as long she doesn't pray and ask if what she is reading is true her knowledge wont progress" she excused herself for a moment and 10 minutes later I got a text "sorry I don't belong to this church" we run down the hill but we could find her. we were so heart broken but we knee we had planted that see in her heart so it was ok.
Now Friday we met with one of my favorite families, While we were having dinner I received a text from sister Mejia, thanking me for what I had shared with her, she follow to tell me that she pray, and pray and prayed again and something marvelous happen, if we could meet with her that night. We did and a miracle happened, she finally prayed to know if the Book Of Mormon is true and she got her own testimony and also of how Joseph smith was a Prophet!!!! I love the Gospel so much, Because I know it true and now sister Mejia does too.
Well my week was just as eventful, my companion had a concert so I was on a exchange for the weekend and for the 1st time I was in charge of my area, I survived lol
it was really fun, I learn a lot from it and it made me realize that I can do it.
my sunday was even better Sister Mejia told us that she is ready to be baptized and she wants to be baptized before she leaves on her vacation to Buenos Aires/ Uruguay with her family so she is on date for Saturday Nov 30!!!
well that was my week, I miss you ALL and I think and pray for you all constantly, be safe and keep the mail coming :)
I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ is been restored, And that the Book of Mormon is another testimony of Jesus Christ and thru his words we can grow closer to God!
What a blessing, Im grateful for the love, the grace and the example of my Savior. This thing I said in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
Love you all
Sister Jungheim
